Jenny Kwan has been an advocate for the Palestinian people, particularly concerning the humanitarian situation in Gaza and the urgent need for family reunification for Palestinian Canadians. She has consistently called for a full two-way arms embargo on Israel, the official recognition of the State of Palestine by Canada, the imposition of sanctions on extremist Israeli leaders, a permanent ceasefire to end the violence, and the immediate release of all hostages. Kwan has also been critical of the Canadian government’s response to the crisis, particularly regarding the limitations and slow implementation of immigration measures designed to help Palestinians with family ties to Canada seek safety.
